Among them, wumanqing, the new leader of the Institute of engineering, currently serves as the director, general manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party leadership group of China Electronics Technology Group Co., Ltd., and the dean of the school of Cyberspace Security of University of science and technology of China; Lizhongping is currently the director and researcher of the Institute of aerospace materials and technology, China Academy of launch vehicle technology, the director of the key national defense science and Technology Laboratory of advanced functional composites, and the director of the laboratory of the National Engineering Center for functional carbon fiber composites.

According to public information, wumanqing, born in August 1965, male, Han nationality, native of Tongcheng, Anhui Province, is a member of the Communist Party of China. He graduated from the University of national defense science and technology with a master's degree in 1990 and was elected an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2009.

He has been engaged in the research on the theory and technical system of digital array radar for a long time. He has independently innovated the digital array technology, promoted the continuous innovation of radar system, successfully developed the internationally leading air police 500 early warning aircraft radar, promoted the major breakthrough in synthetic aperture radar technology and application, and actively promoted the innovative development and practical application of network information system and its related technologies.

Wumanqing has won two first prizes of national science and technology progress awards (2005 and 2021) and two second prizes of national science and technology progress awards (1995 and 2014); He was selected as an expert with outstanding contributions to the national defense science and technology industry and an expert directly connected with the central government, and won many honors, such as the Fifth China Youth Science and technology award, the second national defense science and technology industry outstanding talent award, and the national advanced worker.

Lizhongping, born in August 1964, male, Han nationality, native of Anlu City, Hubei Province, is a member of the Communist Party of China. He graduated from Beijing Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 1986, received a doctor's degree in engineering, and was elected an academician of the Academy of Engineering in 2013.

He has long been engaged in basic research on the application of functional composites in extreme service environments and engineering application research. He is responsible for and leads the team to explore the laws of thermal and electrical behavior of functional composites, realize the innovation of functional composite material system and preparation technology for aerospace, develop a series of new materials and heat resistant structures, successfully apply them to the new generation of aerospace models, solve the problems of "thermal barrier" and "thermal transmission wave", and support reentry maneuvers Breakthroughs in key technologies such as precision guidance and miniaturization.

Lizhongping has won one national special prize for scientific and technological progress, one first prize and two second prizes.

Chenzuoling and hehuawu, who are no longer leaders of the Institute of engineering, have previously served as vice presidents. Among them, chenzuoling was born in October, 1957, and hehuawu was born in August, 1955.
