Introduction to Liu Yang's deeds

Liu Yang, female, Han nationality, born in October, 1978 in Linzhou, Henan Province, started work in August, 1997 and joined the Communist Party of China in May, 2001. In 1997, Liu Yang graduated from Zhengzhou No. 11 middle school and joined the army. He was admitted to the Changchun Flight Academy of the air force with a high score of 31 points higher than the admission line of local key colleges in that year. He became a female pilot and was one of the first female pilots recruited by the air force in Henan since the founding of the people's Republic of China. On the afternoon of June 15, 2012, the China Manned Space Engineering Headquarters announced that male astronauts jinghaipeng, Liu Wang and female astronaut Liu Yang would form a flight crew to carry out the shenzhou-9 and Tiangong-1 manned rendezvous and docking missions. Liu Yang mainly monitors and supports manual rendezvous and docking. In addition, Liu Yang also undertook scientific experiment tasks during the 13 day flight mission, filling the gap in Chinese women's space flight.

On february1,2013, Liu Yang was elected as the person of the year of the Chinese people in 2012. In january2018, it was awarded the honorary title of "model of the times" by the Publicity Department of the Central Committee. On September 23, 2019, Liu Yang and "blue sky Doll" welcomed the national day together. In april2020, he was employed by the National Space Administration as the "public welfare image ambassador of China's space industry".
