Dell today made a comprehensive improvement on its XPS 13 two in one notebook computer and announced a new design. It has become more like a tablet computer than a thin notebook computer with a reversible hinge. The 2022 model will replace the reversible hinge with the XPS folio keyboard cover, which is very similar to the smart control keyboard designed by apple for the iPad. It is magnetically connected to the XPS 13 plate to complete the two in one.

Access:

XPS folio will support three angles: 100 degrees, 112.5 degrees and 125 degrees. It is equipped with a magnetic stylus that can be adsorbed on the top of the device for charging. The XPS stylus designed by Dell can be used by left and right hands. It can be used for about 50 days after it is fully charged. The pen holder and stylus will be sold separately.

This is also Dell's first XPS that provides optional 5g connectivity and ESIM support. Later this summer, when the new XPS 13 2-in-1 comes on the market, two models will be available. The standard Wi Fi model is equipped with machined aluminum, while the 5g model has a gorilla glass 7 on the back to eliminate the signal interference of metal materials.

Internally, Dell adopts Intel's latest 12th generation core i5 and i7 processors, which can be i5-1230u (10 core CPU, up to 4.4ghz) or i7-1250u (10 core CPU, up to 4.7ghz). Also available are 8GB or 16GB of lpddr4x memory and up to 1TB of PCIe 4 SSD storage.

The Dell XPS 13 two in one model uses a 13 inch 3:2 (2880 x 1920) panel with a rated brightness of 500 nits and supports displayhdr 400. Port selection is limited to two thunderbolt 4 (usb-c) ports, both of which support DisplayPort and power delivery. Dell abandoned the earphone jack on the previous XPS 13 two in one model, and the microSD card reader is no longer available, but there is a usb-c to usb-a adapter and a usb-c to 3.5mm earphone adapter in the box.

Like the main model XPS 13, the high-resolution 1080p front webcam (5million pixels) also appears on this variant, supporting windows Hello, there is a 4K webcam (11megapixel) behind the fuselage to capture videos and photos.

The new Dell XPS 13 two in one product will be launched this summer, but Dell has not announced the exact release date or price.
