Epic Fortress Night E-sports Returns To Offline Live Competition This Year

Epic Games has announced that it plans to hold an offline fortress night competition in November, which is the first large-scale offline E-sports fortress night competition since the 2019 fortress Night World Cup The 2022 FNCs Invitational will be held at Raleigh Convention Center, North Carolina, from November 12 to 13.

Epic wrote in a blog post signed by "Fortress Night Team": "we will invite top FNCs double teams from all over the world. They will have the opportunity to compete in a hall and share the $1000000 prize pool."

However, the company stressed that the health and safety of contestants is "the first priority for any face-to-face event", and warned that if "public health trends change or regional laws or recommendations change at any time, the event time may be rescheduled".

It is not clear whether epic plans to hold some form of Fortress Night World Cup in 2023. The 2019 edition of the event is the first and only fortress Night World Cup so far. It is a three-day event with a prize pool of up to $30million. However, in april2020, epic said that it would not hold the World Cup due to the epidemic, and said at the end of that year that it would not hold the 2021 World Cup.
