At the annual I / O developer conference, Google officially launched the pixel 6A for the mid-range market. As an entry-level model of the pixel 6 series, it is also equipped with the tensor processor only available in the company's flagship product This large 6.1-inch device has some hardware changes to help reduce the entry price, but it still retains the design aesthetics of its flagship siblings, pixel 6 and 6 Pro.
Glass and metal materials were abandoned and recycled aluminum frames and polycarbonate backboards were used. The matte black side makes the pixel 6 series look less shiny.
Pixel 6a is equipped with a 2340 x 1080 pixel FHD + OLED display with a refresh rate of 60Hz. It is worth noting that pixel 6a is Google's first affordable mobile phone with fingerprint scanning in the display for biometric security. The screen is corning gorilla generation 3 glass, which is the same as the glass on pixel 5A last year.
Although pixel 6a is launched as a mid-range product of pixel 6 and 6 Pro, the device uses Google's flagship tensor processor. Like the flagship model, pixel 6A also includes Titan M2 security coprocessor, which makes the device one of the most secure Android phones at present.

Various image scene modes of tensor processor, including Magic Eraser, real tone and face blur, will also appear on pixel 6A. Google has promised to provide pixel 6A with three years of Android system updates and a total of five years of security updates. This means that the support window of this entry-level 2022 Google made smartphone will close sometime in 2027.
