A New York consumer sued McDonald's and Wendy's on Tuesday, accusing them of cheating customers by using incompletely fried beef patties in advertisements to make them look big and juicy, while the actual hamburgers sold are about 15% - 20% smaller than those shown in the advertisements The consumer, Justin chimienti, filed a class action lawsuit in federal court in Brooklyn on Tuesday.

The lawsuit said that in view of the current high inflation and soaring food prices in the United States, the defendant's behavior was "particularly worrying", especially for low-income consumers.

The Lawsuit Seeks damages and punitive damages for the defendant's breach of contract and consumer protection law since May 2016.
