Meyer musk, the mother of Elon Musk, the world's richest man, became the focus again this week, becoming the oldest woman to appear on the swimsuit cover of sports illustrated The 74 year old supermodel is one of four cover models including Kim Kardashian. Mayer musk has been breaking through boundaries in her career, from the nude photo on the cover of New York magazine in 2011 to becoming the oldest spokesperson for cover girl at the age of 69.
"If I thought I could be a swimsuit model for sports illustrated, people would lock me up as a crazy woman," Meyer musk said in a video released by Sports Illustrated earlier this week "I'm glad to let people know that women in their 70s are beautiful."

Despite these achievements, Meyer musk insists that her influence is not the reason for the success of her children, including Elon Musk.
"I've never helped my children. I work too hard and my children have to be responsible for themselves," she said in an interview in 2015
She said Elon Musk worked especially hard at school, but only in his favorite subjects. "He knows everything, but he is the youngest and smallest in the class," she said in 2015.
Although Mayer musk said she didn't have much impact on the children's success, she played a big role in helping her two sons start and run their first company.
In 1995, Elon Musk and his younger brother jinbar musk co founded Zip2, a software company that provides business catalogs and maps to media companies and e-commerce customers.
At that time, maye musk was running her catering clinic in Toronto, preparing to publish her first book, feel fantastic.
In addition to his various jobs at that time, Meyer musk tirelessly helped his sons start a business.
She began to encourage kimbar musk to become more involved in the company's business, as the latter kept calling Elon Musk, who moved to Silicon Valley, resulting in a surge in her phone bill.

When Zip2 was founded, Mayer musk still lived in Toronto, so she flew to Silicon Valley every six weeks. From the company's business plan, to supervising interns, to printing and office expenses, she helped her sons. She also bought them food, clothes and furniture.
Sometime around 1996, Meyer musk donated all her savings, totaling $10000, to the office rent and daily expenses of her son's company.
She said it was her "best investment ever".
