NASA's perseverance rover is a rolling laboratory, but in a picture posted by the rover team on twitter, it left a good impression on landscape architects. The picture shared on Tuesday shows a prominent rock surrounded by sand lines formed by the tread of the rover's wheels.

The rover is exploring the jezro crater, collecting rock samples and looking for signs of ancient microbial life. It recently launched its second scientific activity, a journey through the Qianhe River Delta region with an intriguing water history.

Many "perseverance" tweets are happily written from the first person perspective imagined by the rover team. "I accidentally finished some Zen Art while driving. Mars may be desolate, but it has a certain charm," the team said.

The Zen Garden on our planet encourages visitors to slow down, integrate into the present, meditate and find a peaceful place in the busy world. If you're not around, maybe you can find a similar feeling in Percy's occasional Martian earth art work.
