NZXT has just released two new motherboards designed specifically for Intel's 12th generation core processors, the z7 z690 and the N5 z690 The former has a higher positioning, is equipped with armor covering almost the entire PCB, and supports ddr4-4800 high-frequency memory and Wi Fi 6e wireless network. The latter is more affordable, but still equipped with Wi Fi 6e wireless network card.

In fact, at the first sight of the N7 z690, many people immediately associate it with the N7 z490. The product line of this series follows the family design style (large-scale armor coverage), which is very attractive to perspective chassis users pursuing simple and fashionable appearance.

Under the sleek coated armor, the motherboard can accommodate up to three PCIe 4.0 X4 m.2 SSDs and four SATA ports for traditional mechanical hard disk (HDD) / optical drives.

It should be noted that although the full-length PCIe x16 slot at the top is Gen 5, the second one is only PCIe 4.0 x4, and the bottom one is only PCIe 3.0 X4. In the middle of the full-length PCIe slot, there are two PCIe 3.0 x1.

In terms of memory, the NZXT N7 z690 motherboard supports ddr4-4800 @ up to 128GB capacity. In terms of color matching, consumers can choose black or white armor appearance.

In addition, NZXT provides a set of standard functional controllers for the N7 z690, and onboard Ruiyu rtl8125bg Ethernet card (2.5 GBE), Intel ax210 Wi Fi 6e cnvi wireless network adapter, and Ruiyu alc1220 HD sound card.

In contrast, the N5 z690 has slightly less armor coverage, but still retains the 2.5gbe Ethernet card + ax210 Wi Fi 6e wireless network adapter, but the onboard sound card is slightly degraded to Ruiyu alc897, supplemented by ddr4-5000 high-frequency memory support.

Interestingly, the NZXT N5 z690 is not only consistent with the N7 z690 in PCIe slot configuration, but also can install four m.2 solid state drives (one more than the N7 z690 with higher positioning).

Finally, the N7 z690 motherboard can now be purchased directly through the NZXT official website at a price of 300 USD (about 2011 RMB), while N5 z690 is 240 USD (about 1609 RMB).
