On the afternoon of May 23, it was reported today that Wang Chenglu, former president of consumer BG software department, had resigned. Huawei did not comment on this. In order to commemorate Wang Chengwen's friend in Sina Technology circle a few days ago, Zeng Chengwen forgot. This side confirms the rumors of his leaving.

Statistics show that Wang Chenglu graduated from Harbin Institute of technology and received a doctor's degree in engineering. He joined Huawei in 1998 and successively served as president of central software institute and President of consumer BG software department.

Wang Chenglu is the leader of Huawei Hongmeng OS. He previously said in an interview that during his tenure in the central software academy, he had the idea of doing Hongmeng OS. After being transferred to the consumer business, Huawei has been promoting Huawei to build its own software and system ecosystem.

Earlier, in his keynote speech on the 2020 Sina Technology billboard, he said that the emergence of Hongmeng OS is not an alternative system to deal with US sanctions. Hongmeng OS is neither a copy of Android nor IOS. It is a full scene operating system for the future IOT era.

He revealed at that time that Huawei's goal was to conservatively estimate the installed capacity of Huawei's own equipment to be 200 million units by 2021, or far more than 200 million units; More importantly, Hongmeng OS will also be open to third-party devices, with a conservative installed capacity of 100 million units. In this way, the hardware base of Hongmeng system rich equipment will be 300 to 400 million in 2021.

At a press conference at the end of 2021, Yu Chengdong announced that the number of Huawei devices equipped with Hongmeng OS has exceeded 220 million, and the shipment volume of new ecological devices of Hongmeng OS connect in 2021 has exceeded 100 million +, which combined has exceeded 320 million. This also means that Huawei Hongmeng OS has achieved its 2021 annual goal.

In April this year, the latest data released by Yu Chengdong was that the number of Huawei devices equipped with Hongmeng OS exceeded 240 million, and the shipment volume of ecological equipment exceeded 150 million.

However, recently, when Hongmeng OS ecosystem was further expanded, there were rumors that Wang Chenglu had resigned from Huawei. Sina science and technology learned that Wang Chenglu posted his Huawei brand in his personal circle of friends a few days ago and wrote: "for a forgotten memory", confirming his news of leaving Huawei.

It is rumored that Wang Chenglu's next stop may join a Hongmeng ecological enterprise: Shenzhen KaiHong Digital Industry Development Co., Ltd. (shenkaihong). Previously, in order to develop and expand Hongmeng OS, Huawei first opened the Hongmeng OS, and then announced that it would donate the Hongmeng OS code to the open atom open source foundation. Statistics show that Shenkai Hongji launched the intelligent Internet of things operating system (kaihongos) in openharmony, and provided solutions for consumers and industries at the same time.

It is worth noting that shenkaihong also has the background of Huawei. According to industrial and commercial data, it is jointly established by China soft international and Shenzhen capital operation group Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of Shenzhen SASAC), and Hubble investment under Huawei also holds a stake.

Sina technology called shenkaihong for confirmation, but did not get a corresponding reply. If the rumors are true, Wang Chenglu, as the person in charge of Hongmeng OS, has not left the cause of Hongmeng OS he created, but will continue to promote the expansion of Hongmeng OS ecology.
