In terms of productivity, the familiar cinebench R20 / R23 is selected here. However, under the same ddr5-4800 frequency, the multi-core performance of single and dual 16GB @ ddr5-4800 memory does not open the gap visible to the naked eye.

Single and dual 16GB @ ddr5-4800 memory, cinebench R20 scores 4700+ and cinebench R23 scores 12000+.

The choice of i5-12400 + DDR4 platform should be relatively easy. A friend's store happens to have the b660m-d3h D4 motherboard of Shengqi.

When it comes to the cinebench R23, the CPU single core evaluation data of the three memory configurations are all 1700+. In the CPU-Z processor test, the single and dual channel configuration of DDR4 / ddr5 has little impact, and the error caused by data jitter is also extremely small.

For aida64 memory test, the delay of a single 16GB @ ddr5-4800 memory is 30% higher than that of 16GB @ ddr4-3200. However, the rates of read, write and copy increased by about 27% / 46% / 46% respectively.

Plus a 16GB memory to form a dual channel, the delay of ddr5-4800 memory is 40% higher than that of ddr4-3200 platform. However, the rates of read, write and copy increased by about 40% / 42% / 46% respectively.

It should be noted that since the default settings are used on the motherboard and the multi round memory rate / delay test data of aida64 fluctuate greatly, the above data do not have a strict reference.

Even so, its performance is quite close to the official theoretical data of "50% acceleration" and "87% bandwidth growth". If the test platform is placed in a chassis with good air duct and retested in an air-conditioned environment, there may be a brighter surprise.

Cinebench R20 score: ddr4-3200 memory has 8 / 16GB dual channel configuration, and the score gap is negligible. However, in the 16GB single / dual channel configuration, the ddr5-4800 platform leads by about 18% / 12% respectively.

Cinemanche R23 run points: the 8 / 16GB dual channel configuration gap of ddr4-3200 memory can be ignored, and the ddr5-4800 platform with 16GB single / dual channel configuration is about 29% / 21% ahead respectively.
