Ed Bastian, CEO of Delta Airlines, said on Wednesday that the company was still trying to reach an aircraft agreement with Boeing. In March this year, it was reported that Boeing was expected to obtain a milestone order for 100 737 Max 10 aircraft from Delta Airlines.

At an industry conference on Wednesday, when asked whether he thought Max had a place in Delta Airlines' fleet, Bastian agreed.

"I think so. We have been trying to reach an agreement with Boeing. We are paying attention to this issue and hope we can solve it," Bastian said.

Bastian declined to provide details about the size of the 737 Max order and stressed that no decision had been made.

Bastian said: "we continue to observe whether Max has a chance, but there is no decision or delay."

Delta Airlines is currently the only major US airline that has not ordered 737 max.
