FCC Documents Reveal The Mysterious Apple "network Adapter" Running IOS

Whenever a company manufactures a product with a radio frequency (such as Bluetooth or Wi Fi), it must obtain the approval of regulatory agencies such as the FCC. Interestingly, new FCC documents this week show that apple is preparing a mysterious new "network adapter" running IOS. The product code is "a2657", which is simply described as "network adapter". According to documents shared by the FCC, apple sent a sample of the device to the agency on January 22, 2022.

Although there is no picture of the adapter, the details of its internal hardware are described in the document.
