Integrated modular unmanned ground system (imugs) is a permanent structured Cooperation (pesco) project carried out by the European Union, which is committed to building a European standardized unmanned ground system (eugs).

One key is Themis modular robot system of milrem robotics, headquartered in Estonia.

Simply by replacing the payloads on the common mobility and control module, variants of the robot can be easily developed to perform tasks ranging from military supply to remote weapon deployment.

With the support of the Estonian Ministry of defense, Themis observe was initially just a platform for transporting and launching tethered four axis UAVs.

Last year, the company carried out live fire drills with Themis platform equipped with 7.62mm machine guns. The new version seen recently is equipped with ISR equipment.

These include hensoldt's z:sparrowhawk camera, Thales' squire radar, metriavib defense Pearl's acoustic fire detection, Rheinmetall's rapid masking system (rosy) and teksam company NV's mast.

According to milrem robotics, Themis observe can add a light long-range weapon. In addition, the company's intelligent function suite is integrated to support following, obstacle detection and avoidance navigation.

Obviously, it hopes that Themis observe can provide soldiers with an investigation platform to identify fast-moving objects and respond to new threats through multiple sensors, while keeping personnel as far away from danger as possible.

Captain J ü RI pajuste, director of Defense Research (reserve) of milrem robotics, said:

The ISR System Based on UGV significantly enhances the reaction speed of tactical units to targets and the isolation distance from enemy units, thus greatly improving the survivability of Tactical Reconnaissance forces.
