According to reports, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, said on Tuesday local time that he would stay at the electric vehicle manufacturer as long as he was useful to Tesla. In response to investors' concerns that his acquisition of twitter may distract Tesla's operational energy. Musk also said that China's epidemic prevention measures will not become a "major problem in the next few weeks". After a month's shutdown last month, the Shanghai factory is currently in the production climbing stage.

Asked how long he would work at Tesla, musk replied, "as long as I'm still useful, I'll stay."

Musk made a privatization offer for twitter in late April. Investors worried that this social media platform would distract Musk's energy, making it difficult for him to pay attention to Tesla, SpaceX and other companies under him as before.

Musk recently sold $8.5 billion of Tesla shares and plans to mortgage some of Tesla shares to finance twitter transactions.

According to people familiar with the matter, musk may serve as the interim CEO of the company after the privatization of Twitter is completed.

Musk said last December that he was "considering" leaving to become a full-time online celebrity, but it was uncertain whether he really wanted to resign.

He also said in July last year that he "worked very hard not to become the CEO of Tesla, but he had to do it, otherwise Tesla would die."

Musk also revealed that he did not think it was "too good" to merge Tesla, SpaceX and other companies under him, because these companies had different goals and shareholder bases.

Tesla's Shanghai plant was shut down for 22 days before returning to work at the end of April. According to the data of China passenger car market information joint meeting, China's automobile sales plunged 98% month on month in April. In this regard, musk said: "I have communicated with the Chinese government in recent days. It is obvious that the closure measures are being lifted quickly."

Musk said that Tesla would not open a new factory in China in the short term, but would expand the scale of the factory in Shanghai.

He said that the Chinese market is huge, but in the long run, China is expected to account for about 30% of the total market size of Tesla.

Musk also revealed that Tesla is open to acquiring mining companies if necessary. He predicted that the production of lithium would be limited in about three years. Raw materials have become one of the obstacles for the company to achieve the sales target of 20 million vehicles by 2030. They sold less than 1 million vehicles last year.

Musk said that this goal is only an "ideal", not a "commitment".

He believes that the biggest limitation of raw materials is the equipment required to convert lithium, nickel, iron and other raw materials into battery grade materials. Tesla is working with suppliers to solve this problem.
