Nexon Founder's Wife Replaced Her Dead Husband As CEO

Nexon has a new head after the death of its founder and former CEO earlier this year. Yoo Jung Hyun was appointed CEO of Nexon's parent company nxc on April 27, according to the Korean publication Caijing Shimbun.

Jung Hyun, the wife of Founder Kim Jung Ju, died in February. She is also the auditor and investor of nxc and the largest individual investor of the company.

Her shares, together with their children's shares, account for 30.79% of the ownership of South Korea's major publishers.

According to her information at Forbes, Jung Hyun joined nxc in 1995, one year after Jung Ju first established Nexon, and has served as a statutory auditor for the past 12 years. At the time of writing, her net worth was $2.8 billion. There is very little information about her on the Internet, but she is currently ranked 15th among South Korea's richest people.
