U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar and members of both parties said that they had obtained the number of votes required in the Senate to pass a bill aimed at restricting the four major technology giants Facebook, apple, Google and Amazon, and urged a vote. Currently, the version of the bill under consideration in the US House of Representatives and Senate will prohibit these companies from favoring their business in search results and other aspects.

The Senate is expected to vote on the bill this summer, possibly as early as the end of June. People familiar with the matter said that the house of Representatives would then vote on the Senate version.

"If we don't think we can get 60 votes, we won't ask for a vote." Krobucher said that she was surrounded by Republican Senator Chuck Grassley, who supported the bill, democratic representative David cicilline, the initiator of the House bill, and Republican representative Ken buck.

Technology giants have said that the bill will endanger popular consumer products such as Google maps and Amazon's proprietary brand Beisi, making it more difficult for these companies to protect users' security and privacy.
