Some players are not satisfied with the description of barbaragordon in the new Gotham Knight. Warner games Montreal studio recently responded to this. In the cartoon and the 2015 Warner game Batman: Arkham knight, barbaragordon was paralyzed after being shot through the spine by a clown and acted under the code of "oracle".
Warner previously said in an interview that although some settings continue the ending of Batman: Arkham knight, this work is actually an "original story set in the DC Batman universe, which has nothing to do with the Arkham series".
However, some players are very dissatisfied with this background description, because it implies that paralyzed patients can stand up again as long as they are determined and trained.
In the recently organized Q & A activities, Patrick Redding, creative director of the work, said that the studio has received these feedback and will make some changes.
For example, the background story has been changed to: "after long-term training and rehabilitation, she recovered from her injury and acted as a bat woman again."
Redding said that the development team "learned several types of spinal injuries and rehabilitation possibilities after communicating with partners of the charity ablegamers", and then made such a text change.
He added: "we have a lot of characters and plot elements, and Barbara's injury is very different from the description in the cartoon."
"Barbara has undergone many rounds of surgery, followed by extensive rehabilitation and pain management."
Redding also said that during the game, players can see that she is still carrying out rehabilitation, and her bat women's battle clothes and daily clothes are embedded with "back support structure".
