LG display will showcase the next generation OLED solution at the 2022 information display Association (SID) held in San Jose, California, USA on May 10-12. It is reported that the company's exhibition focuses on the versatility of OLEDs, from the next generation of OLEDs Ex to flexible / foldable OLED panels, designed to consolidate its OLED leadership.

It is reported that during Sid 2022 exhibition, LG display will display 97 inch OLED Ex TV screen. Using the company's ex technology, the display increases the brightness by 30%, provides enhanced image quality with real details and colors, and provides users with a charming viewing experience.

The revolutionary products to be displayed also include the company's 42 inch flexible OLED game display, which has a curvature range of up to 1000r (a radius of 1000mm). This allows the screen to bend and straighten, so users can optimize their screen according to the game they are playing or the program they are watching, and enjoy the most immersive experience.

More importantly, LG display plans to launch a new form of foldable OLED technology this year. First, the company will showcase its 8-inch 360 degree foldable OLED, which can be folded freely in both inward and outward directions. Due to the stable module structure, the screen can be folded more than 200000 times without affecting its performance. It also uses a special folding structure to minimize creases and provide a comfortable and cutting-edge user experience.

The company will also launch the world's largest 17 inch foldable OLED laptop, which maximizes versatility and can be easily transformed from tablet to notebook and portable display.

In addition, LG display will also demonstrate its scalable OLED in touch and transparent OLED in touch technology for large-size OLED displays. The new touch technology provides an interactive and improved touch screen experience while retaining the ultra-thin design and excellent image quality.

The company will also showcase OLED solutions that pave the way for new markets. The 34 inch p-oled display is the world's largest automotive p-oled. It adopts an ergonomic design structure with a maximum curvature of 800r, so that the driver can clearly see the instrument panel and navigation system at the same time. In addition, the 0.42-inch OLEDos (OLED on silicon) display specially built for augmented reality (AR) devices realizes the silicon chip used in semiconductors to create immersive ar visual effects with a high resolution of up to 3500 pixels per inch.

LG display will showcase its OLED solution designed for the home. The 55 inch transparent OLED shelf can be seamlessly integrated into any decoration. It is the best way to watch content, display art, add indoor effect to the room through the always on display mode, and more.

Soo young Yoon, executive vice president and chief technology officer of LG display, said: "we will continue to provide new experiences for our customers by continuously promoting technological innovation and creating differentiated value that can only be realized by OLED technology".
