Industry analysts predict that Nintendo will launch switch 2 in 2024 In an investor memo seen by the well-known game media video games Chronicle (VGC) last week, analyst piers Harding rolls said: "ampere currently predicts that the next generation of Nintendo devices will be released in 2024".

"By the end of 2024, switch is expected to sell 146 million units. This means that it is still likely to become the best-selling game console ever at the end of its life cycle, surpassing PlayStation 2 (158 million units)".

Nintendo sold only 13.5 million Wii u consoles in total. Meanwhile, the original Wii has sold more than 101 million units, and the switch has exceeded this figure. Last week, Nintendo reported that it has now sold more than 107 million switch consoles, putting it behind the PS4 on the list of best-selling consoles ever.

Amber analytics predicts that sales will begin to slow in the coming months. As Harding rolls pointed out, Nintendo forecasts 21 million switch shipments from April 2022 to March 2023. This is 2 million less than its 23 million sales in the previous fiscal year. The analyst does believe that the upcoming sequel to wilderness interest will prompt some switch users to upgrade to OLED models. Even so, switch sales should decline year-on-year.
