The future of 5g applications is gradually emerging. We have heard of many new use cases, including wireless VR, AR and a large number of solutions in the world of artificial intelligence and the Internet of things. So far, smart phones have been connected faster through 5g. Media consumption habits characterized by streaming media content and browsing social media have been formed, but Samsung has brought us more.

The Korean giant developed the first private 5g business network for naver, a large technology company known for its social platform. The new service will allow autonomous robots to roam the naver headquarters in Seoul to help deliver packages, coffee and lunch boxes for employees.

The headquarters is called "1784". At the beginning, it will employ 40 robots, which will move between three floors. The company also plans to expand to "hundreds of robots shuttle through the 36 floors of the entire office building" by the end of this year.

All robots are connected to the cloud server. The cloud server is like a shared brain, replacing most of the required computing from a single robot. According to Samsung's press release, 5g network will become a neural network connecting robots and cloud, realizing "real-time support for tens of thousands of robots". They are also building a common 3d/ HD map. Artificial intelligence helps them learn and browse around the building faster by creating a virtual space that replicates the real world.

The network realizes Samsung's compact core concept and multi band 5g communication, and supports 4.7ghz and 28ghz spectrum, which is specified by the Korean authorities for private networks. Private 5g radio includes optimized uplink allocation features, and its transmission capacity is twice that of other commercial 5g radio bands.

Yong Chang, vice president of global sales and marketing of Samsung electronic network business, said that the company would continue to cooperate with public institutions to implement the service in other use cases such as transportation systems, hospitals and schools.
