Jellyfish are a common sight off the coast of Florida - but now people are surprised to see a unique "jellyfish" launched by the latest rocket from the Kennedy Space Center On Friday morning local time, the SpaceX launch produced a visual phenomenon called "space jellyfish", which brought a striking scene to those who got up early to watch the Falcon 9 rocket launch: an ethereal luminous gas cloud was highlighted in the darkness before dawn.

The space jellyfish phenomenon occurs when the rocket takes off at dawn or dusk. When the spacecraft reached high altitude, the sunlight illuminated a wisp of gas on its tail. This effect is similar to the bell and tentacle of a jellyfish.

Friday's effect varies depending on where people stand when they see the rocket. As the pictures posted online show, some observers see a horizontal Silver Stripe, while others see what looks like a wavy luminous cloud.

Although the space jellyfish effect only evokes animals, actual jellyfish have also visited space. In 1991, NAS sent thousands of small jellyfish into orbit on the space shuttle Columbia to study their response to microgravity.
