I thought that NVIDIA and AMD had nothing to do with this generation of graphics cards, so I sat down and waited for the arrival of the new generation, but I didn't expect that the two companies were more enthusiastic about "lighting up cards". Amd released the entry-level RX 6400 last month. The domestic price starts from 1349 yuan, and NVIDIA has no corresponding new products in this price range.

"GTX 1630" came into being, which is also the first "GTX x30" series product of NVIDIA. Previously, there was only GT x30.

According to the latest disclosure, GTX 1630 will be released on May 31 . Indeed, it is not the ampere architecture, but the small core tu117-150 of the previous generation Turing architecture. From the number, it is a simplified version of the GTX 1650 tu-117-300 core, which naturally does not support ray tracing and DLSS.

CUDA cores are reduced from 896 to 512, but the frequency is higher, and the acceleration can reach 1800MHz. While the video memory bit width is cut by half to 64 bit. It continues to be matched with 4GB 12GHz gddr6, with a bandwidth of 96gb / s

Because it is still a 12NM process, the power consumption is not very optimistic, it is expected that it is still 75W like the GTX 1650, which barely needs auxiliary power supply, but in fact, most cards will be used to ensure stability.

In contrast, RX 6400 is the latest 6nm process and rdna2 architecture. There are 768 stream processor cores, which can support optical tracing and FSR. The video memory has the same bit width and capacity, but the capacity is higher, up to 16ghz, and the power consumption is only 53W.

If the GTX 1630 has such a specification, it is bound to be less competitive. Do you want to win with price? Thousand yuan or less? (I don't believe it anyway)
