The mini is not directly from the flagship size of the Android 13. There is no compact Android phone now, because Android smartphone manufacturers have traditionally focused on flagship phones with large screens. Although Sony is a rare exception, it has not produced a small flagship that can compete with devices such as the iPhone 13 Mini.

This is a big problem for pebble founder Eric migicovsky, who wants to work with other iPhone 13 mini fans united to create this Apple Make an Android version of the smallest mobile phone. The entrepreneur hopes to persuade an Android company to launch his dream small Android phone, and another option is to make it yourself.

It is understood that migicovsky has created a simple website for his mini Android phone program -- smallandroid phone com。 That's where he explained his plan.

He happens to be a user of the iPhone 13 mini, and he appreciates the screen size and manufacturing quality of the phone. But at the same time, he misses Android very much. Therefore, he began to look for like-minded people to make the Android version of the iPhone 13 Mini a reality.

The former pebble executive said he preferred small phones because they were lighter and more suitable for carrying in his pocket. In addition, mini sized mobile phones are easier to use with one hand and won't fall out of your pocket when riding a bike.

Migicovksy said: "it's becoming clear that small premium phones won't appear on any OEM's roadmap. So I decided to do it myself. My goal here is to gather fans of other small phones and put pressure on Google / Samsung / anyone to consider making small phones."

Migicovsky accurately explained what kind of small Android smartphone he wanted -- basically an iPhone 13 Mini running the native Android system, and a pixel level camera experience.

This smaller Android phone must actually copy the iPhone 13 Mini. It must have a uniform frame around the screen and a perforated selfie camera. Migicovsky also wants the phone to be equipped with a fingerprint sensor on the side button, rather than under the display. However, he also said that this is a "good" function, but it is by no means a necessary function.

The screen of the iPhone 13 Mini running Android should be 5.4 inches. It should be an OLED panel with a refresh rate of 60Hz.

The camera must be as good as the pixel 5, especially in low light performance. And the phone needs to have two rear cameras, including a normal lens and a wide-angle lens.

Speaking of actual specifications, the phone should provide a combination of 8GB memory + 128GB / 256gb storage space, 5g and NFC support, and a battery that can last for 4 hours.

In terms of software, the iPhone 13 Mini for Android should run an original Android system and provide an unlocked boot.

Other good features include some robustness in design - so that the phone does not need another protective sleeve, IP68 waterproof and dustproof, hardware mute switch and ESIM support.

Migicovsky expects the phone to cost between $700 and $800. It is reported that the price of Apple's iPhone 13 Mini is $729 without any form of discount.

Migicovsky is not asking people for money, but wants more supporters to fill out a small survey. His goal is that at least 50000 people want such an iPhone 13 Mini replacement for Android. So far, more than 6000 people have signed up.

The focus of the campaign is to persuade mobile phone manufacturers to produce such phones. But the entrepreneur said that if no one made it, he had to make it himself. But he added that he "really, really doesn't want things to go this far".
